Reflection: Working with Kat Jayme on The Second Set for Tubi, featuring Naomi Osaka, reminded me exactly why I love this work.

The project was intimate and global all at once — a story about resilience, identity, and the power of returning to what you love. Filming alongside Kat, whose storytelling instincts are as sharp as they are compassionate, was a masterclass in creative trust. Every moment on set — from the quiet interviews to the kinetic energy of the match sequences — was infused with purpose. It’s collaborations like these that remind me how storytelling can move far beyond the screen.

I’ve learned that every great film or commercial isn’t just about the concept — it’s about the people who bring it to life. The best moments I’ve had on set come from collaboration: teams that trust each other, share ideas freely, and turn challenges into creativity. Every project, every stumble, every problem solved has made me a better producer.

I work across both documentaries and commercials, each with its own rhythm — documentaries demand patience and empathy, while commercials thrive on precision and style. Both keep me grounded in what matters: story, craft, and connection.

I’ve been lucky to collaborate with extraordinary directors — Molly Schiot, Kristin Lazure, Stephanie Soechtig, Kat Jayme, Cynthia Wade, Anna Wolf, Ursula Macfarlane, Rebecca Cremona, Nikki Spetseris, Rebecca Hamm, Michael Gleaton, Adam Donald, Kai Sehr, Silvia Soto-Gleaton, Alex Lacey, Nik Kleverov, Jesse James McElroy, Scott Toepfer, Brennan Stasiewicz, Benzo Theodore and Chris Kasick — whose vision and artistry continually push me to elevate the work. Together, we’ve built campaigns and films that have earned Clio and Telly Awards, and have been recognized in Adweek and Campaign US for their creativity and impact.

One of the most meaningful chapters in my career began with Simshar, my first feature film — and Malta’s first-ever Oscar campaign — directed by my dear friend Rebecca Cremona, whom I met while studying at the prestigious Art Center College of Design. That experience taught me everything about scale, heart, and the power of perseverance. It was a film made with limited resources but limitless belief — the kind of collaboration that reminds you why you fell in love with storytelling in the first place.

On Simshar (2014) — my first feature, directed by Rebecca Cremona — I helped shepherd Malta’s first-ever Oscar campaign. That film won the Golden Aphrodite for Best Feature Film and the CIFF Award for Best Director (Rebecca Cremona) in 2015.

Beyond features, I’ve been active in documentary work. My producing credits include The Game Changers 2, Naomi Osaka: The Second Set, and The Twister: Caught in the Storm.

On the commercial side, I’ve produced campaigns for major brands such as Nike, Microsoft, Crayola, Toyota, Xfinity and others, working with top agencies like Leo Burnett, Saatchi & Saatchi, TBWA\Chiat Day, and Wunderman Thompson.
